Karla Linn Merrifield (Kent, New York) is a Pushcart Prize nominee and 2009 Everglades National Park Artist-in-Residence. Merrifield has had poetry appear in numerous journals and anthologies. She is the author of several poetry books, including "Dawn of Migration and Other Audubon Dreams" (2007, RochesterInk Publications) and the forthcoming "Etowah River Psalms" (September 2009, FootHills Publishing.)

Merrifield's poetry previously appeared in the June and August 2009 issues of Apparatus Magazine.
