Phil Richardson (Athens, Ohio) is retired from Ohio University. He publishes genre fiction, flash fiction, and literary fiction. One of his stories, "The Joker is Wild," was nominated for a Pushcart Prize by The Storyteller Magazine.

Richardson's stories, "Garden Ornamentals" and "The Buzzards are Flying," appeared in Volume 1 Issue 5 of Apparatus Magazine. Additionally, "Garden Ornamentals" was nominated by the magazine for a 2009 Pushcart Prize.
